A wonderful girls night!

So I just spent a wonderful evening with some wonderful women tonight!

I went to a Girls night hosted by my friend Krista. It had girls hair bows, jewellery and Vinyl wall decors! My cousin tamara was there doing nails, Of which I definately took advantage of.

I've picked out some wall Decors I can decorate my house around! I'm very very excited. It was a nice visit with old and new friends and a bit of break from Riley as he played with the other children playing and hanging out!

I've known Krista since kindergarten. We were quite a terrible Duo back in the day. In like grade 3 her family moved to Edmonton and I lost my best Friend. We wrote back and forth for a little while but as young kids do we lost touch.
Later in life we ran into each other in Cardston at the pool and I found out they had moved to Okotoks.
Every now and then as we grew up we would run into each other at Teen dances and activities and then at YSA dances and activities.

Once I moved back to Calgary after High school we touched base again and ended up having common friends, she introduced me to a lot of new friends. Now we're both married and have a child!

It amazes me how the people who are meant to be in your life are always, in some way, reappearing if they leave for a while. In 25 years, she's probably been apart of at least 15 of them. She's a wonderful person who I love and value our friendship. We may not get together as often as we like and life sometimes gets in the way of things but we know where we stand with each other and that we're always around.

It also amazes me how small the world is. Her sister in law, who does the bows and the vinyl lettering parties with my cousin, lives in Raymond and is best friends with my cousin Tamara who I went to high school with in Cardston. I love how the people I love to be around, and think are such a wonderful influence in the world tend to end up in similar groups and linked together.

I had a wonderful visit with my Friend Danielle! Her little boy is so adorable and although they had a rough start they seem to me on a better path now! It was nice to talk about old beginnings, old friends and new goings on!

So I've had a good day, spent some money, spoiled myself a little, which I think I deserved, and rekindled old, made new and strenthened weakening friendships!

  1. It's amazing that as we get older we can still get together with certain people and it never feels weird. I think those are the people we know are, and always will be special in our lives. :) I'm glad you had a good time.
