So my little boy had his surgery today!
I did ok until the nurse at the last minute before he went in said "so who's going to go in with him while he receives the anethesia?" No one had mentioned this until that moment so I automatically said I would. BIG MISTAKE!
Riley is such a fighter. He fought it the entire Time. When they said he was finally asleep he was still wimpering and his eyes had rolled into his head! Not something a mother should ever have to leave. I was bawling when I left the room.
The surgery went from about 8:00 ro about 8:30. He was back into the Day Surgery waiting room by 8:45 am. He was very upset about waking up and Richard had gone off to meet with someone, So I got to do the mommy thing and just hold my baby.
He got Two popsicles and a dvd player to watch bob the builder! He was so cute in his hospital Pj's!
Unfortunately he has infections in both ears so that is going to be an icky draining process but he's on the mend!
