He's also started doing stuff like carrying in groceries (one really light bag at a time) with mom, and standing beside richard and helping rinse dishes while daddy puts them in the dishwasher.
He also shocked me one day and took the lid off the garbage can and put some actual garbage in it.
Richard will say "diaper change time" and Riley will get a clean diaper and get on the couch to be changed. Today I wanted to start the habit of reading to Riley so i put him in his crib (because thats the only way I'll get him to stay in one place for now, hopefully as this becomes a habit he'll be more anxious for it) and I read 6 robert munsch stories and two winnie the pooh stories and he would lay down cover himself with his blanket and talk to his teddy bear. Like he was translating it for his teddy! If I stopped reading he would sit up and look at me like "um what are you doing stopping huh?!?!" I love it. I cant believe he'll be two in a couple of months!
