Our Trip to Idaho

So we went on our first family trip that didnt have anyone travelling with us. It was lots of fun. We left on the 4th and went to Cardston where we visited My mom and Richard's mom. As well as we went to a wedding reception for one of my dear friends in Raymond. We stayed with my mom for two nights and left early Monday morning on our way to Island Park Id.





The Trip down wasnt bad. We stopped in Great falls hoping to eat at Golden Corral Buffet only to find out that it had burned down last christmas. Kind of dissapointing. But Riley had lots of fun. He slept all the way from Great Falls to well past Helena.

I found the trick to keeping him happy was a variety of toys. I had a bag that I hid the majority of his toys in with a couple of new ones and some new books and every so often when he got bored I would give him a new toy. It was like Christmas.

The reason we went to Idaho was for a Family Reunion on my side and it was lots of fun. On the first evening we had just dinner and catch up and relax from the trip. On Tuesday we had a cousin party where everyone got a gift from one of the other cousins, so each child got one gift and then a gift from Grandms, or Great Grandma in Riley's case. They had so much fun. It was themed Princes and Princesses. and they made and decorated Crowns, had a treasure hunt and they Slayed a Dragon (pinata).






We also got to spend some fun down time with my siblings and Dad. On Wednesday some of the family went to Yellowstone park, some went rafting, (which turned out to be cold because it started to rain and blow while they were in the middle of it) and Richard and I went shopping in Rexburg. I got me some crazy janes mixed up salt, and SONIC!! the love of my life sonic. I have been craving one since the last time we were in Idaho for richards reunion in '07

on thursday it was check out time at 11 but Richard and I left at 9. This trip was a little more laid back. We spent an hour in Helena walking around Walmart. Then we spent an hour in great Falls for lunch. When we got to the Border, richard was driving, but the gaurd asked me all the questions, especially how much we had spent while we were down there on things we were bringing back.








We had to stop in Milk river for a bathroom break and boy has that place changed the visitor center, but it was fun.







We stayed in Cardston from Thursday until Saturday and saw the new Transformers movie on Friday with Michael. Riley had lots of fun. Now we're home and back into normal life.
